YEREVAN-ECHMIADZIN-GARNI-GEGHARD-SEVAN-DILIJAN-KHOR VIRAP-NORAVANK-ARENI-JERMUK-AMBERD






Day 1. YEREVAN-ECHMIADZIN
Pick up and transfer to the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy morning Yerevan City Tour (Republic Square, Cascade, National Theater of Opera and Ballet, etc.), have an excursion to famous Ararat Brandy Factory. Continue to Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. Visit Echmiadzin Cathedral (4th c.) and Museum, experience the grandeur of medieval churches of St. Hripsime (7th c.) and St. Gayane (7th c.). On the way back to Yerevan take an escape to Zvartnots Cathedral ruins (7th c., UNESCO World Heritage Site). In the evening have dinner at a traditional Armenian restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. 

Day 2. GARNI-GEGHARD-SEVAN-DILIJAN-YEREVAN
Breakfast in the hotel. Take a tour to Garni Pagan Temple (1st c. AD). Temple ofGarni itself was dedicated to the sun god Mithra. Although the Temple of Garni resembles the Hellenic-period monuments, it is still an unexcelled sample of Armenian monumental architecture of its times. Experience “Lavash” (armenian traditional bread) baking master-class in Garni village. Continue your way to Geghard Monastery (4th c., UNESCO World Heritage Site). Wind your way to the “Blue Pearl of Armenia” - Lake Sevan. Try famous Sevan crayfish dishes at the lake. Visit closely situated Monastic Complex of Sevanavank (9th c.). Before returning back to Yerevan take a tour the resort town of Dilijan, find yourself in the dense forests of Tavush region and see the majestic Haghartsin Monastery (11th c.). Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

DAY 3: KHOR VIRAP-NORAVANK-ARENI-JERMUK-YEREVAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Head for Khor Virap Monastery (4-17th c.) Khor Virap isone of the most popular destinations in Armenia for a number of reasons, primarily because it is where Gregory the Illuminator who was preaching
Christianity was imprisoned for 13 years. To this day you can visit the underground chamber which Gregory was imprisoned in. Continue your journey to Noravank (13-14 c.). Noravank - the “New Monastery” is a medieval Armenian monastery standing out not only with its appearance but also with the surrounding majestic scenery of Amaghu River gorge. After the stop at Noravank, drive towards Areni 1 Cave Complex - a famous archaeological site
where the earliest known shoe was found. Have a memorable lunch at a cave restaurant in Areni. After the lunch continue the tour to Jermuk, a famous mountain spa town. Take some rejuvenating mineral baths in Jermuk and enjoy
the mountain fresh weather before returning to Yerevan. On the way back take a halt at Areni winery and try 15 sorts of delicious wines which the region is famous with. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

DAY 4: AMBERD-YEREVAN
Breakfast in the hotel. Take a discovery tour to 7th c. Amberd Fortress located on the slopes of Aragats Mountain. “Amberd' means «a fortress in the clouds» in Armenian - a fitting name given that its elevation is 2,300m above sea level. On the way to Amberd learn about Armenian Alphabet having a stop at the Alley of Armenian Letters. Find your Letter and have a photo with it. Continuethe tour to Lake Kari formed in one of the numerous craters of Aragats Mountain. Return to Yerevan. Check out and transfer to the airport. End of services.
